Hourly Weather Data Description

Data is in the following comma delimited format:

Site ID, Date, Hour, Temperature (F), Dewpoint (F), Relative Humidity (%), Wind Speed (mph), Cloud Fraction (0=Clear, 1=Overcast), Observed Weather, Data Source

Hour 0=midnight, hour 12=noon, hour 23=11PM.  All times are in local standard time. 
You will need to add one hour to observation times to convert to daylight savings time.

If there is no observed weather, the sky condition is listed:
         SKC      No clouds (manual weather station) 
         CLR       No clouds below 12,000 feet (automated ASOS/AWOS stations) 
         FEW      Few Clouds (1/8 to 2/8 of the sky is covered with clouds) 
         SCT       Scattered Clouds (3/8 to 4/8 of the sky is covered with clouds) 
         BKN      Broken Clouds (5/8 to 7/8 of the sky is covered with clouds) 
         OVC      Overcast Clouds (8/8 or all of the sky is covered with clouds) 

The sources listed will generally either be:
NCDC=National Climatic Data Center (from composited monthly weather data files)
NWS=National Weather Service (from metar observations)
Filled=Either the temperature, dewpoint, or wind speed was missing for that observation time.  
If the temperature, moisture parameters, and wind speed are present but sky cover was missing and filled in, the row will not be marked as filled.
