Weather data is also available graphically on the Frontier Weather website. Forecast graphics for individual cities are available showing the Frontier Weather forecast, model forecasts as well as hourly forecast data.
Samples of some of the available graphics are shown below.
Daily/Weekly/Monthly Weather Reports
Several weather reports are issued each weekday highlighting weather patterns in the 1-15 day period. The Morning Weather Summary report is issued each weekday morning by
6:30AM CT and highlights the 2-5, 6-10, and 11-15 day temperature anomaly forecast as well as 1-5 and 6-10 day precipitation forecasts. Included in each report is a
discussion of current and forecast weather trends along with additional informative forecast graphics and data.
The Midday Update provides the same information as the Morning Weather Summary, but is updated midday after the latest forecast model data becomes available.
A quick update of the latest 12Z GFS model is emailed out to subscribers immediately following the release of the model, with the full Midday Update released about an hour later.
Temperature forecasts for individual cities across the country are highlighted in the Individual City Forecasts report which includes the observed weather for the
past 10 days and the forecast weather for the next 10 days in both text and graphical format for 40 U.S. cities. Temperature forecasts for the entire 1-15 day
period are also available for download in text file format for over 300 U.S. cities. Both versions are updated twice daily, once by 6 AM CT and again at midday.
The U.S. Degree Day Summary report highlights a variety of specific heating and cooling degree day data for the U.S. including weekly degree day totals for
the U.S. on an aggregate and regional basis. Also included are forecast graphics depicting temperature anomalies for each gas week (Saturday to Friday) as well as
charts showing degree day trends over the past several weeks.
Weekly, Monthly and Seasonal Update reports are also available. Our seasonal reports are updated twice each month, on the 15th and the last day of the month, though the seasonal
page of our website updates the forecast for the next month daily as new medium range data comes in.
Tropical reports are issued at least daily during hurricane season, and often numerous times throughout the day when storms are threatening the critical Gulf of Mexico production region.

Tropical Weather Products
During the hurricane season or other periods when tropical activity is active in the Atlantic basin, Frontier Weather issues tropical update reports as needed
each day. The reports highlight current storm locations as well as forecast paths along with various model track solutions. These reports are issued once or
twice per day when there are no storms that have the potential to be a threat to the U.S. or Gulf oil & gas production region and several times per day when
there are storms threatening. Click on the tropical forecast report icon at the top of the page to view a sample report.
In addition to the regular tropical reports that are issued, a tropical page is also available
for use on the Frontier Weather website that shows the latest forecast tracks for each storm, model forecast tracks, and the latest satellite imagery along
with the most recent discussion from the regular tropical report. Wind and wave graphics are available as well as historical track maps.
Seasonal Forecast Products
Twice each month, Frontier Weather provides and updated monthly temperature anomaly forecast extending out to nine months based on the latest climate indices,
climate models, and recent trends. A detailed summer outlook is issued each year during March or April, with a detailed winter outlook issued each October.
Periodic climate updates and discussions are provided throughout the year on various climate topics of interest such as ENSO, the MJO, etc.
In additional to the regular seasonal reports, a web page devoted to seasonal forecast information is available to subscribers of the seasonal forecast product.
Here, detailed month by month forecasts can be viewed for individual cities across the U.S. including specific information on monthly forecast heating and cooling
degree days with comparisons to the monthly weather for that city over the past five years.
Additionally, data files are available for download that contain the seasonal forecast information for all available cities in both monthly and daily format out to nine months.
Long-Range Degree Day and NG Storage Projections
Our seasonal forecast data is also available in a nine month daily degree day format to allow for calculating long-range natural gas storage totals and changes.
We have a website page set up to allow viewing this data graphically that is updated daily with our latest forecast data. While we are not attempting to directly forecast week to week weather out to nine months,
the long-range daily data projections are nonetheless useful for projecting long-term changes to natural gas storage levels.
The website page allows you to view not only what the projected storage levels for our seasonal forecast, but to plug in the previous year's data or the five or ten year averages and then calculate the resulting
storage projections. A snapshot of the website page is shown below.
