WEATHER GRAPHICS

Frontier Weather provides a variety of weather forecast products for the short to medium range period. Current and forecast weather maps are available for the 1-15 day period in the subscribers only section of the website for most regions of the world including the U.S., Europe, Asia, South America, Australia and other locations. Graphical forecast products include daily temperature anomaly forecasts as well as daily precipitation forecasts. Additional forecast graphics such as the traditional 2-5, 6-10, 11-15 and next 7 day forecast maps are also available.

In additional to weather forecast graphics, the map interface provides options for viewing current temperatures, dewpoints, humidity, heat indes, wind speeds, wind chills satellite and radar imagery, as well as the previous day's high and low temperatures. Additional weather graphics are also planned for the future.

POWER WEATHER PAGE

The Power Weather Page combines several commonly used weather forecast products by power traders on one page to allow for easier and more efficient viewing of weather information. View maps of current temperatures, humidity levels, wind speeds, and heat index/wind chill on the top left panel while monitoring current radar and weather warning information in the middle panel. The top right panel allows the user to cycle through daily temperature anomaly patterns for the 1-15 day period in order to better visualize weather patterns and trends.

Detailed high and low temperature forecast information for different regions of the country can be viewed underneath the graphical map grouping with above normal temperatures highlighted in red and below normal temperatures highlighted in below to allow the user to quickly spot potential peak load days.

Links to other weather reports and detailed forecast data files are included at the bottom of the page.

DAILY WEATHER REPORTS

Several weather reports are issued each weekday highlighting weather patterns in the 1-15 day period. The Morning Weather Summary report is issued each weekday morning by 5:30AM CT and highlights the 2-5, 6-10, and 11-15 day temperature anomaly forecast as well as 1-5 and 6-10 day precipitation forecasts. The Midday Update provides the same information as the Morning Weather Summary, but is updated midday after the latest forecast model data becomes available.

Temperature forecasts for individual cities across the country are highlighted in the Individual City Forecasts report which includes the observed weather for the past 10 days and the forecast weather for the next 10 days in both text and graphical format for 40 U.S. cities. Temperature forecasts for the entire 1-15 day period are also available for download in text file format for over 150 U.S. cities. Both versions are updated twice daily.

Finally, the U.S. Degree Day Summary report highlights a variety of specific heating and cooling degree day data for the U.S. including weekly degree day totals for the U.S. on an aggregate and regional basis. Also included are forecast graphics depicting temperature anomalies for each gas week (Saturday to Friday) as well as charts showing degree day trends over the past several weeks.
